Bylaws

The Harvard Club of Charlotte is a not- for- profit alumni club organized in the State of North Carolina and governed by bylaws.  The bylaws include membership requirements, board and officer requirements and meeting requirements, among other things.   The bylaws state that the Harvard Club of Charlotte shall be governed by a Board of Directors consisting of a minimum of three Regular Members and a maximum of eleven Regular Members.  The Board of Directors will appoint officers to run the day to day operations of the Club.   The Regular Members are those that have received a degree from Harvard or are Harvard Faculty members, among other things, more specifically outlined in the bylaws.  There is also a second category of membership, Associate Members.  Associate Members are those that are associated with Regular Members, such as family members of Regular Members, or that have been designated as an Associate Member by the Harvard Club or Harvard Alumni Association.
